Friday Afternoon in a Landscaping Yard - 20/01/2009It's hot today, we seem to be walking out the door and start melting. The drinks machine is looking a little empty and the water cooler has been well used. So we come to a lovely Summer's Friday Afternoon and I ask the Sales team, what products have people most interested in lately? I get two answers, one of which I were pleasantly surprised by. Linkedge Garden Edging, a fairly new product that people have been finding really simple to use and cost effective. One of the comments from a customer that stood out to me is "I'll get some extra, I'm sure the wife will use it somewhere". Since the economic downturn, a lot of people are turning more attention to their backyard and their own home, instead of going away on holidays. As a result, we all get busy making new garden beds, patios, decking and so on, after all it is summer. I myself have set up a new garden bed at the front of the house, but haven't edged it yet.. I was thinking stone or timber edging but with the current response on the Link Edge, I may just make use of that. The other product people have been making use of is Mulch, which is the best way to keep your plants cool and moist during this hot dry time. After all, if you're making a new garden bed it makes sense to give the plants the best start. If you're wanting to get into your garden this weekend and make a difference quickly, a new garden bed may be just the thing to add some extra colour and enjoyment for your home.
