Great Garden Growth - 28/01/2009This week we have had the pleasure of Mike from Fytogreen coming in to talk with us for a video presentation about Hydrocell, the water saving soil improver. There is so much that this product does I'm having trouble with the size of the videos! I think I'll be breaking it into a few sections and making a few videos, I should have them up on youtube in the next few weeks and will be adding a clip here. The thing that amazed me the most is how light the product is... my 6 year old would be able to tuck a 100L bag under her arm and carry it off. So what are the benefits of Hydrocell? In this time of water restrictions, it's a great insurance for your plants at just a few dollars. It will help them to surivive the dry weather better, not requiring as much watering, and give long term growth benefits because the Hydrocell foam retains any fertilisers you add within them slowly releasing them back to the plants. The garden bed I made last weekend I did on a whim and I didn't add any into, even thought the plants are all fairly hardy, some of them have had a hard time getting established. After seeing the demonstration Mike did for us it really is simple to add this in, even after the garden is created, so my poor plants will be able to establish and thrive. If you want to see the videos we put up, we will be hosting them through youtube, find us at here. Happy Landscaping! | Categories:DIY Gardens and Lawns General Handy Tips Pavers Retaining Walls |
