Cement is the "Glue" that Makes the Sands and Blends Work as Intended. The word "cement" traces to the Romans, who used the term "opus caementicium" to describe masonry which resembled concrete and was made from crushed rock with burnt lime as binder. The most important use of cement is the production of mortar and concrete - the bonding of natural or artificial aggregates to form a strong and durable building material. Pre-mix bags have cement and other materials in the proportions best suited for your job. |

GP Cement (General Purpose) This is the traditional cement that is used throughout the world and is manufactured by QCL in Central Queensland. (Actually it used to be manufactured just around the corner from our yard here at Darra and was often called a bag of Darra Grey.)

Q Cement A good cement that was imported to compete with cheap and inferior imports. You could call this a budget type cement that does comply with AS (Australian Standards).
$7.97 20kg Bag Pre Mix Mortar Is used for laying bricks and blocks. Simply add water and mix into a paste. Apply to the brick or block with a brickies trowel. The instructions are on the bag for all the ways it can be used.

Postcrete - Handy Mix Handymix Postcrete is designed for setting fence posts, clothes hoists, signs and similar objects. The varying size of the aggregate does not allow this product to be used for concrete slabs.
