Fill and Roadbase
Road Base is a blend of materials from 20mm rock down to fine dust that compacts with pressure to create a hard base for under pavers or gravel driveways. If you see our DIY How to Lay Pavers Video Series, you can see the way the Road Base is prepared before the Sand base is screeded flat for the pavers to go on.
Crusher Dust is a compactable material for use as a base under pavers and slabs. It can also be used as a pathway, by setting up your pathway edging, then screeding the Crusher Dust level before plate compacting.
Decomposed Granite (Deco) is a fine base material that for under slabs or used under gravel driveways. If you want to make a firm natural pathway, you can leave Decomposed Granite exposed and simpy compact it.
